Dear Monday, Here are some moments from the past week that made me smile. :)
My infatuation with succulents still persists. This week I embraced dirt under the fingernails and got down and dirty with a few plants. There is something so peaceful about planting.
I'm so grateful for this little family of mine. We may be small in number but HUGE in appreciation for each other. Piper's big, sloppy kiss is always an indication of her love!
This weekend I died and went to the land where old, beautiful wood is waiting to be re-imagined and re-purposed. I mentioned in this post how we are using salvaged wood for our kitchen island. Since we are using lots of white and driftwood grey in our kitchen renovation we chose the boards you see in the above photo. We also chose some thicker wood which will become floating shelves. Picking countertops, fixtures, flooring has all been so much fun. Yet, picking the salvaged wood and learning of it's history has, by far, been the most fun of all!
Soon the weather will become so hot & humid that outdoors will become something to enjoy in small chunks of time. For now, watermelon cools us and playtime outside is mandatory
It's been a great week.
