Sometimes you come across something that really makes you stop and stare and just delight at how beautiful it is. This was my reaction to Masako Kamiya's art.
Masako Kamiya meticulously and deliberately uses layers of colors to build up dots into half-inch stalactite-like columns which creates clusters of colors. I love that her work seems to transform itself just by moving away or closer to the piece. What you see from a distance becomes very different when you look closely.
Masako Kamiya uses gouache on a wood panel or water color paper to create her art. Brilliant and so lovely.
