An Unexpected Beginning...
Hello & Welcome.
I am Tania Welch…mama, yoga & wellness teacher, and founder of Indobay Living.
My life, as I know it now, began after a great tragedy. In the early hours of September 29th, 2003 I learned that my husband had been killed in a car accident. Life as I once knew and recognized suddenly became unrecognizable and unbearable. I was 32 years old, mama to an 18-month old little boy and I was now a widow. As l limped through my days it became quite clear to me that I had a decision to make...either be defeated or live the life I imagined with courage, intention, and great joy!
I chose the latter because life is too short not to live what you love.
This soul space I named indobay became an expression of my journey...my journey from grief and uncertainty to resilience, and deep, soul happiness derived from living a creative, intentional and simple life aligned with what mattered most. Living within the spirit of indobay helped me to re-connect with myself and navigate into the best life for myself and my little man.
So what is indobay?
Indobay is a way of living and a "state of mind" that embraces and passionately advocates internal wellness through the practice of simple, intentional living, yoga, and fierce soul-care. It is a nourishing space for mind, body and soul.
Indobay is where creativity, intention & inspiration meet and merge and encourage you to live simply, lovely and intentionally.
I have rekindled a love affair with my "medicine", my soul's purpose. I had been bringing it all to my family and now I am ready to EXPAND in all directions and bring it to the world. A fire has been lit!
My two passions of YOGA + HOME are finally joining forces with the opening of The Indobay Living Brick + Mortar “tiny” shop and our online shop.
The Indobay Living shop is a "tiny shop" located inside Peace of Yoga Studio in the lovely downtown area of St. Petersburg, Florida.
With the practice of yoga we honor a sense of ease and connection to mind, body and spirit. We invite a sense of wellness and intention on the mat. The Indobay Living shop invites that same connection to ease, wellness and intention off the mat by offering goods and tools for mind, body, spirit AND home. Our collection of hand-crafted items have been thoughtfully chosen with great care. All goods are picked with an eye toward longevity, usefulness, craftsmanship and beauty.
You will find that many of the items in the shop are locally crafted fostering a sense of community. I am so excited to share the work by artists and makers whose work embodies an underlying feeling of earthiness, light, simplicity, all with great care and a spirit of considered, intentional living.
With love & gratitude,
